I am very sensitive to music, and am hoping to have two playlists for the big day(s)...one calm and one energetic. I may not want them in the end, but I want the option. I like ALL kinds of music new and old.
I'm bringing my Portishead CD. It was the CD DH was playing our first evening as a couple, and now it always reminds me of that and makes me feel warm and snuggly. That will be my calm music.
For energetic music, if I want it, DH is making me a mix of all our favorite rock music, like Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin and Journey. I'm also bringing my Rage Against the Machine CD which is my favorite CD to work out to.
I recommend relaxing classical music. Rock music would have been awful! But it really doesn't matter, because in the height of your labor, you're not even going to notice or care about the music.
