    If you register somewhere like Target they change their stock over a couple times a year. I suggest waiting until a month to 6 weeks before your shower.

    DH and I went and registered after our 20 wk u/s. We had just found out that LO was a girl and wanted to buy things for her- but instead of spending gobs of money we went and registered. It gave us the satisfaction of shopping without spending the money. It was a great night!

    I registered at 24 weeks or so, and I've added a few things since.

    I started my registry after my 20 week u/s and went back and added most of my stuff around the time my shower invites went out. I didn't want to have to constantly check it to make sure stuff wasn't being discontinued, etc.
