Please don't let the creeping crud that's now invaded my parents' house find it's way over here. Ugh!
Mom just called, and my 17 year old cousin (who's living with my parents - long story) just tested positive for Flu Type A. Now, I know that doesn't mean that it's piggy flu, but P goes to my parents' house every morning before daycare and comes into contact with my cousin. FML.
We're so going to get the vax next week. I don't care how long I have to wait or where I have to drive!
And, I totally feel bad for my mother. She's spazzing b/c my dad falls int the CDC's high risk category. I told her to call their physician ASAP to see if he would call in some Tamiflu for them.
What a PITA!
Re: Dear (8 lb 6 oz) Baby Jesus,
My SIL & Niece tested positive for type A but they live in the next county over. I wasnt gonna get the vax but since Its hitting a little to close to home I think it might be a good idea to get Michelle the vax. However my pedi doesnt have it and has a long list of those who are high risk to get it...they doubt they will ever have enough for their high risk patients and Michelle isnt one of them
The county health dept has a waiting list and Michelle is number 1,503. Yikes!
Meanwhile we are all doing lots of handwashing and staying home as much as possible except for school & work.
If I had prescriptive authority, I would totally call in some Tamiflu for ALL of you right now.
Crappers, that reminds me. I left my Tamiflu script at Wallyworld. I need to remember to get that transferred on Monday.
You take my ovaries, I take your yarns.
