I joined a group. However, all their meets were during the day and since I work I couldn't go. Wah waaaaah!

They might have a working moms one...or you could start one!  Other moms might be saying the same thing.

You should!! I belong to a few even though Im home, but since I WAH I really only attend the events scheduled in the Wkg moms wkd group...I met a few nice moms with kids DD's age so its nice.

I joined 2 playgroups on meetup when we relocated a few months ago because I didn't know anyone here with kids.  Both groups are great -and I've met some great people.  One of the groups is set up more around a sahm schedule -with most meetups being weekdays during the day, and only a few evenings.  The other group has meetups all over the place -weekdays during the day and plenty in the evening as well -plus quite a few weekend playgroups.

I put in a request for two groups and was denied because their membership was already maxed out. Might do another search and try again. Trying to make sure that DS has plenty of activity while I'm not working.

I do also have a mom's group at our church that is awesome. However, it's mostly bible study (mom's only) and a monthly mom's night out. Which are great, but that doesn't help DS. I do have plans to get together with a few of the moms for playdates during the week though. We'll see.

I belong to a local playgroup on meetup.com. I think it's great and a real easy way to plan outings. The calendar is so easy to use!
