WWYD?

Yesterday I came down with a little bit of a runny nose, a sore throat, and felt a bit crappy.  I work at a hospital so I went to occ health and they swabbed me for H1N1 and sent me home.

I think it is very unlikely, I don't have a fever or a cough.  I feel better today.  My nose barely runs and my throat is just a little scratchy.  I won't get the H1N1 results back until later today or tomorrow.

DD's daycare is having a halloween party, including parents at 4.  DD keeps saying 'your coming to my party, right mommy?'  It is breaking my heart.

I don't want to spread germs, so I think I have to just send DH.  But in reality, I am not really sick. (I mean I blow my nose once every couple of hours).

I have to skip it though, right? Sad

  • What do you do... what do you do ?

     "Shoot the hostage"  :-)

I would still go - but I tend to really not worry about this stuff.

  • If you had the flu, I think you would feel a lot worse.  You are not sneezing and coughing, so you are not going to spread any germs.  I would go.  If your symptoms get worse throughout the day, I would skip it.

  • I would really try and go. Load up on meds, drink juice, etc. It doesn't sound like you have the flu but I agree with above pp, if it gets worse, don't but I would plan on it.
  • If people stayed home all winter with a sniffle or a cough they would NEVER leave the house!  If you're blowing your nose every few hours you aren't sick.  I blow my nose more than that on a regular day.  I would go.  Don't miss her party because of a sniffle!

Obviously, like PPs said, if you develop a fever or start to feel worse don't go.

  • I definitely don't think I have the flu, just a cold.  A mild cold shouldn't be too bad to go...

This.  Unless you start feeling really bad later, go and have fun!
