I've been meaning to post about this for a while. I'm interested to see if others have ways of doing it that I might try.
1. What is your position (with baby) when you co-sleep? I lay on my side, put arm horizontal out above baby's head and bring her in close to me. That way, I feel I could never roll on her. Switch sides each time she wakes.
2. How do you keep warm at night?-sometimes I'm cold! We turn our heat down at night and I am always vigilant about covers not falling onto her. Depending on which side I'm on, I pull the covers up to my shoulder, but then wrap it over in between my legs. PITA, but it works. On the other side, I only bring covers up to my thighs.
3. Do you put a pad down under the baby? I do this b/c sometimes the baby pulls off and I notice a wet spot that would have normally gotten on my sheets.
Any other hints? I've co-slept with both babies, but I'm always eager to get other good ideas on how to be most comfortable!
Re: Some co-sleeping questions
1. I slept in that same position
2. I wore flannel jammies, kept the house warm, and didn't use blankets
3. No pad but I had a mattress protector under the sheets
same for my first son. with my little girl I was more relaxed but not much. Still had the mattress on the floor with a bedrail. I put a pillow under the undersheet (had no pillow with DS until 9 mos). I put blakets on me and put DD up above me (so like, I scooted down).
I love cosleeping. If we're done with babies it's what I'll miss the most!
