2nd Trimester

I'm SO excited

I have 2 really, REALLY good friends at work. One of them is pregnant (due in December) and has been out on bedrest since early August. The other one (a guy) has been out for 6 weeks because his wife had a baby at the beginning of September. So, for the last 6 weeks I have been pretty much friend-less at work. (I talk to people, of course, but these two are my workplace BFFs, if you know what I mean)

Well, the guy come back to work tomorrow! Yay!

I know, it's a silly thing to be excited for, but I've felt like such a loner! Everyone has their cliques and I feel like I'm intruding if I try and join in, lol.

High school truly never does end, does it?

  • Hee hee.  Totally not silly at all.  I work in a company with 6 people.  All in their 30's and I often feel like they can't/don't relate to me at all.  It was so nice when they finally hired somebody that was my age but sadly we had to let her go last February.  I've been kind of lonely without my little buddy.  When does your other friend come back from being on bedrest?

  • Not silly at all! That is the main thing I miss in my current job. I've always had lots of friends and an active social life with my work friends. For the first time in my career I'm now in a management position in an organization in which there is no one I would consider a friend.

It makes getting out of bed in the mornings a little tough.

Congrats on getting one friend back and I hope your other friend gets off bedrest soon!

Well, she's out until she gives birth (C-Section on 12/3) and then 14 weeks after that. But, when she comes back I'll be on mat leave, so I won't see her (at work) until May, lol
