TMI alert. Last week, at 3 weeks PP, I bled heavy for 2 days, then stopped. Doc said normal. Now I am spotting lightly--anyone else have this on and off PP bleeding? How long did it last--and when did AF actually show? TIA, Jill
I had light bleeding until about 4 weeks pp. Seems like there is lots of variation with some women at 1-2 weeks on one end and others with 2-3 months of bleeding.
I'm still waiting for AF (but the average is 6 months for BFing mommas).

i spotted right up to 6 weeks pp with both of mine. af came at 7 weeks pp and 6 weeks pp. yep, back to back bleeding. fun stuff! it does eventually go away--promise!
I think that's totally normal. I probably missed this but are you breastfeeding? if you are, then you may not have a period for a very long time. I still haven't had mine back (although i did ovulate this week for the first time so I would assume I'll be seeing AF in about 14 days) and it's been a year PP.
If you are FF, then your cycles may still be very irregular. Your body still has a lot of adjusting to do from all teh pregnancy hormones. And didn't you also say that you had Pre-E? I have a friend who delivered her baby at 26 weeks like trish did and she said it took her body quite a while to get back to normal.
Mine was heavy for a couple days and then pretty light and stopped and then came back a couple weeks later. And CONGRATS! I am so excited for you. I have missed seeing you and am completely over the moon that you have delivered! Best wishes!!!
