std's and pregnancy

This is a very personal question.....but has anyone in their yonger days been stupid and end up with and STD? 

I am just wondering about that and pregancy.  If you were able to take care of it with antibiotics and you were fine after that.....what is the effect, if any, of TTC?

My niece got pregnant young and when she went to the OB/GYN for the first time pregnant she found out that she had a couple issues, nothing harmful to the baby and it was all taken care of after the birth of the baby.

I have no experience on this topic, but I *think* if the mother has something, the biggest problem is at birth, especiialllly  when it's genital herpes because if you are currently having an outbreak, the baby will likely get the herpes when they are born.

 So most doctors would suggest getting a C Section rather than risk the chance of passing it along.
