Two Under 2

New Here and Saying Hi!!

I just joined and belong on a bunch of boards....SAHM, 3 kiddos (DS 3, DD17 mo, DD 4 mo). I have lurked forever and am finally officially here. Yay!!

I have had 2u2 since my second kid was born. Three months after that, I was pregnant with #3. Talk about Mommy Guilt.... the first year of my middle dd life I spent chasing a 2 year old and/or barfing and exhausted. (I am a miserable pregnant lady. Healthy, but no energy, crabby etc). Now, the big one is at preschool 5 days a week and I am home with the 17 mo old DD and the baby. I have actually gotten to know my older daughter so much the last few months and we are both so much the better for it. SHe is a nut... running, climbing, jumping and is super smart. With her big brother at school and not running over her all day she is blossoming. Big brother is a high energy, don't-turn-your-back-for-a-second-kid too, his new obsession is factories, machines and gears. We watch youtube videos of candy factories or car factories and he adores it. He is in Montessori so I think that kind of practical 'work' is integrated into his school day too.

Thankfully, the baby is super chill. Not usually fussy, sleeps pretty well, etc. Going to try and move her into her crib in room she will share with her sister.

So... that's about it. Right now DS is flinging his underwear around the room asking "is that cool, Mommy?". Oh Crp, its dinner time. Oops!

Again, Hi and happy to join. ANy one have and ques about 2u2? Send my way.If Ican't help, I can at least reccomend a good wine or cocktail :)

Re: New Here and Saying Hi!!

  • That is awesome!! I have been getting a lot of crap since we are planning to have another baby soon. Ava is 6 weeks old and we plan to get pregnant after I have 3 consecutive periods. Thats what my OB recommended. I am not sure why everyone has such a problem with it. We only want 2 children, and I wanted them to grow up close together in age. Also I am 30 and I want to go ahead and do this since my age could complicate another pregnancy if I wait too long. Did you have c-sections with any of your pregnancies? And how was the pregnancy after that? Was it more difficult? And what is the most challenging thing about having 2 babies so young? Thanks!! And GL
