What is this wet spot?

Okay, a few different nights now, I have gone up to put DD back to sleep and her sheet has been damp.  She has been wearing the footed blanket sleepers to bed so I can't feel any wetness and when I smell the sheet, it doesn't smell like pee.  Is is possible that she just drools enough to make a huge wet spot in her bed?  She sleeps with a paci and that's the only thing in her crib besides her and the sheet.

Re: What is this wet spot?

  • Drool?  Sweat?

DS gets huge wet spots from both.

  • could be, I know my DD is a huge drooler, especially when shes teething. I don't know how big the spot is you are talking about though.
  • I'd say drool, especially if she is teething......

  • If it's a spot-spot I'd say drool.  But when Luke was really small he was a HOT baby and he would soak his clothes and the sheets in sweat.  My mom used to think I was insane for having the house temp at 65 in the winter with him in just a onsie.
  • the same thing happened to me too.  I felt DD's pj's and they felt dry but when I went to change her later I could smell urine.  The fleece in the Pj's somehow "masked" the wetness.  I fel so bad that I put her back down in wet PJ's but they honestly felt dry!  The crib didn't smell like urine at all but her pj's totally did.

On an other note, she does get some spots that she drools a lot. When she was sick I could honestly see yucky drool spots all over the crib sheet and had to change it often.   It was like she had so much mucus it had no where to go !

    God luck figuring it out!
