Would you fly during holidays with a 1 month old?

Just wondering if anyone is planning on flying during the holidays. I'd love to go home to see everyone since this is our first X-mas away but DS #2 will only be a month old. It's only an hour and 20 min flight.

  • babies usually do great on flights.  It's the toddler stage that is hard to fly.  The only thing is to keep baby away from germs.

  • Yes as long as you think you can handle doing it with 2 kiddo's (assuming your DH is going as well).  Just the 1 month old doesn't frighten me- but the 2 year old does.  :)

  • I am due in a couple of weeks and am in the same situation for the holidays.  Our pediatrician kind of frowned upon it when I asked her.  Something like some of the important shots aren't all given until that 2 month mark.  And with all the flu and swine flu going around I guess we decided it's not worth the risk at all.  Planes are dirty and it would be my luck that we would be stuck next to a bunch of people coughing all over the place.  Good luck though- it's a tough decision.  We are going to wait awhile to fly.
