yay for DR. appt number two! and a cs scar question

yes they will get old just like they did with brock....but im excited for it today.

i am going to talk to my OB about it today...but my scar is freaking burning and stinging. please tell me there is no way of it opening back up....i mean its pretty dang tender. At my first appt she made one of those "oh i dont like how they did that cs" comments and how she will do it differently so it doesn't "heal so harshly"- she says.

  • It's just the skin stretching. It can be pretty uncomfortable and even painful sometimes, but no, it wont open back up.

    hey thanks man! :)

  • If you're prone to bad (lots of) scar tissue then that's likely what you're feeling.

The scar tissue from the uterus can adhere to the abdominal wall.  When the uterus grows up and out of the pelvic cavity that scar tissue stretches until it breaks.

Not comfy - but totally normal.

(I was in so much pain I asked my OB about it!)

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

    Thanks for the info!

  • I'm not even very far along and mine has already been itching like crazy. I was curious about this same thing.
