Poor DH. BIL vent

I feel so bad for DH.  He has had the month from Hell.  He was at work walking the halls at school slipped on water and dislocated his kneecap which ended up leading to knee surgery and he has been on the couch for over a week now with knee up in the air.  DH's knee is the size of a large softball and the swelling isn't going down.  Today he told me to make sure I charged the house phone just in case his brother called tonight which he didn't call.  DH has been out of work for about 3 weeks now, in pain and unable to walk, & his brother hasn't even called to say hello let alone to see how he is mendingSad  I didn't really realize how much it has hurt DH that his older brother hasn't called to check on him until tonight.  DH moved to the States from Ireland back in 94 and I don't think his brother has ever forgiven  him for moving away due to they were best friends when DH left and his brother really never made another good friend.

    Does he know he hurt his knee? ?Do they talk online at all??

    That sucks. It's definitely not your DH's fault he couldn't come up with a good friend in 15 years-it's no wonder he hasn't made any good friends if this is how he treats his own brother when he's having a rough time. Tell him your bumpies say hi and are checking on his mending :)

    Does he know he hurt his knee?  Do they talk online at all?
      My mother in law told his brother about his knee and the surgery.  Even she keeps asking each time she talks to DH if he has gotten a card or heard from his brother.  I think my MIL is hurt that he hasn't called to check on DH.

    BIL doesn't really like computers so he doesn't go online at all.

    Maybe you could call or message the brother just to let him know about your DH's accident?  The nesties are pulling for him!

    Your Poor DH.  How rude of your BIL.  I hope he feels better soon :(

     

    If it makes you feel any better my ILs didn't wish DH a Happy Father's Day (his 1st one!) this year.  They "forgot" he is a Dad, too.  Yikes.
