For reals???

Re: For reals???

  • Okay it didn't let me finish before it posted.

They are going to fine this woman or jail her for watching her friends' kids for a few minutes while they wait for the bus! Are you kidding me?!

  • wow..thats friggin ridiculous!    I wonder if the kids were being really loud or unruly in the morning?   It seems strange that a neighbor would turn her in if there wasnt some other issue...

  • It really is ridiculous!  My mom used to watch someone else's child (who was my age) a few mornings each week, before school.  My mom was SAH and the other mom wasn't.   I hope they can get this rewritten.

  • That is nuts.

I can see though in some ways that it's hard to make a good definition of when it starts being a day care situation vs. just friends watching each others' kids.    But they should try to make it work.  Or investigate individual situations.

We were talking about a similar "gray line" situation yesterday with home schooling co-ops where families get together to homeschool together and share responsibilities.   When does it turn into an unlicensed school?    Not that this is on topic, just seems like a similar type of situation taht will need to be well defined some time.

  • Wow, that is just nuts.

My mom was a SAHM for a few years when I was in elementary school and she did the same thing. My best friend and her little sister, and another neighbor girl would come over in the morning before school when their parents had to leave for work. My mom would walk us all up to the bus stop. Sometimes after school they would come over as well. It was usually a few times a week when their parents had schedule conflicts where they couldn't drop them off/pick them up from school.

  • That is ridiculous.  I get the point, but exceptions should be made.

On a side note, I was hoping this was your BFP post, HayHay!

Sigh. Me too. I got some tests at the dollar store today. I'm thinking I might have to test in the morning. AF is 4 days late. But I'm afraid I'm psyching myself out since this is cycle 1 and I know it can take a little while to regulate. But if it is just a weird cycle, then I'm going to start freaking out if AF doesn't show up soon!

4 days?  Man, you have some serious self-control.  Go POAS, woman! Stick out tongue
