How do you apply diaper ointment...

so that you don't end up getting it all over your LO and his/her clothes? I put some on my DS last night and was sure it was going to get all over his diaper and onesie after. I used my index finger to apply the cream and I'm thinking there must be a better way. Is there?

Re: How do you apply diaper ointment...

  • You could use a cotton ball, but if getting diaper cream on a onesie is your biggest dilemma of the day, I'd pay good money to live in your shoes.

  • I use my finger.

How did it get on the onesie?

  • Use your finger, then wrap the diaper around your finger to wipe excess off!

    Or a baby wipe...

  • I use cotton balls most of the time, but sometimes I just use my finger.  I'm confused on how it got on his clothes. Huh?
  • How did it get on the onesie? I use one finger to put it on, then I close the diaper (not using that finger), then I wipe my finger off with a baby wipe.

I use baby q-tips, the ones with the really big tips.  Is that weird?

I use a qtip too   Smile

I didn't get it on his onesie but was thinking I would since I had the cream on my index finger. I still almost used the finger to snap him up. I was just thinking there must be a way I don't know of. I could just use another finger....
  • Just clean your finger off with a wipe after the diaper is done up and before you do up his onesie.
