Well Jax cried last night for a good hour around 7 (his bedtime). He finally crashed and was doing the sniffle thing pretty hard every few seconds in his sleep. It was so sad, it just broke my heart.
But, after 3 hours, he still hadn't stopped...so super-paranoid me decided to call the 24 hr nurse line.
Well I could tell she thought it was a dumb thing to call about, but I didn't feel comfortable going to sleep while he was doing a weird breathing thing every couple seconds that made his whole body jerk! She assured me that he should stop within the next 15-30 minutes and I got off the phone. He continued doing it for SIX HOURS, y'all. 6 hours! Poor guy.
I couldn't sleep because I was worried so I brought him in bed with us.
Needless to say, by the morning, he had stopped, but has anyone else's LO done this??
ETA: When he was crying, I was holding him the entire time, NOT doing CIO. Just to clarify.
Re: You know that involuntary sniffle thing you do after a hard cry?
I've never had one do it for that long, but yeah, my older DD has done it.
What had him so bent out of shape? Is he teething?
yeah, DS did that a few nights when we were sleep training him. Its so sad! The problem is he'd start to fall asleep and then his sniffles would keep waking him up! It never lasted for 6 hrs though! Maybe about a half and hour!
