The FFF post prompted the first one:
1. To the person who doesn't brush their kid's teeth b/c they don't like it, try using the safe-to-swallow toothpaste. Brady was NOT a fan of the brushing, but he loves the taste of it and it has been effortless ever since.
2. My kids HATE having their nails clipped. It's a huge struggle for us to do them. Fast forward to today. After meals, I have them sit in their high chairs and watch a short video so they can digest their food or else I end up cleaning it up off the playroom floor. Since they were distracted, I stood behind them and tried to clip their nails. Worked like a charm! No cries, no struggles, and no more scratching mom.
Anyone else have a great tip to share?!? And no one better share anything about hiring or not hiring a baby planner....
Re: Thursdays Tips :)
Oh I have a tooth brushing tip too.
I used to have problem brushing his top teeth because he would always have his tongue in the way. Now when I am getting ready to brush his teeth I say "Say cheese!" and smile showing all my teeth. He mimics me and I get to brush them all. We will do this a few time until I know I get them all. This has been working like a charm for the past few weeks. Once I am done I let him brush his own teeth.
I wish I had tips. My kid is like a wild animal.
She likes to brush her teeth though. I guess I have that going for me.
DD likes to brush her teeth but we play a game where I brush her teeth for a second and then I let her brush mine. She doesn't really brush mine, but I hold the brush to my mouth and pretend like I am, then she laughs and lets me brush her teeth.
Ditto this. I have always cut DS's nails when he is sleeping.
