wool soakers... so confused :/

hey ladies! i am new to CDing (preparing for LO) and im very confused about this wool soaker business. what exactly do they do? how do they work? are they good to use or just stick to regular PUL covers (currently have thirsties)? where should i get them (for CHEAP)???

    ETA:  I have found a new love for wool!  ;)  I love it sooooo much more than PUL.  Its so breathable.  To get it cheap I would buy used.  Spots Corner is a good place :)

    They are covers and you would use them over a fitted or PF instead of a PUL cover (like Thirsties). Wool is our favorite because they are very stretchy and fit for awhile, made from natural fibers, antibacterial, and don't stink.?

    ?For the cheapest you could search etsy for recycled wool. They are usually made from old wool sweaters. You could make them yourself for super cheap. if you sew or you could check diaperswappers for used.??
