Anyone want to know what I'm doing tonight??

While DS and DH are downstairs playing, I'm wrapping Christmas presents. Yup, it's Aug 28th and I'm wrapping Christmas presents.

We're driving to my parents' for Labor Day weekend and I realized we won't be driving again this year. We'll fly in for Thanksgiving and won't make it for Christmas. I've got the shopping done already so I figured might as well wrap and bring them now so everything is there. Less to worry about hauling along for a flight. 

I'm pretty excited about my accomplishment.

Wow, I envy you!  I try to buy Christmas presents throughout the year and I've started to make a list as I think of ideas but I'm not even close to being done.

Thats cool! I actually bought a ton of xmas presents already too. I haven't thought of wrapping them yet though.

My problem is forgetting what is for whom after they are wrapped. Or if I marked them, forgetting what is in them.

Yes, I'm already trying to talk myself out of letting some people open presents over Labor Day. I can't handle waiting.

I mark everything to/from, plus I keep a list of what I've bought in my outlook. This is just so I remember who I've already bought what for throughout the year while I'm shopping sales.

dang you are organized and smart! A list, what if someone finds it? or does it not include dh etc?

funny story, one time I gave gifts and as they were unwraping them I had to take them back and swap them. Opps, wrong person. My dad almost got some lovely perfume.

Right, does not include DH on the list. I figure I can handle remembering just one list in my head. Plus I don't usually shop for him until much closer. Or we just chip in together and buy something for the house. Although last year I got him an awesome GPS. I ended up locking my laptop with a password once I decided so he couldn't even stumble upon my searches, etc.

I still remember the gift I lost one year. Now I have one central place all gifts go. But one year I bought something for my aunt and couldn't find it. I've moved a few times since and still never found it.
