  • It is set on 72 on both floors.  I'm in Tennessee.
  • wow - that is miserably cold to me!  I feel the cold a lot though and am making up for a freezing childhood with heat-averse parents lol..

We are in PA and we keep it between 67 and 69 (day and night).

  • wow, you keep it cold!  We are in Texas and have 2....

main parts of house and master bedroom:
Day - 68 (when we are not home) and 72 (when we are)
    Night - 73 or 74

2nd floor room and kiddos' bedrooms:
    Day - same
    Night - 74-75

All this and it has only been in the 30-40's at night here.  We are apparently very temperature-sensitive. lol

  • Connecticut here, during the day when we are out of the house it is down to 65.  I think we may go lower though to save a few extra dollars.  While we re home it is 67.

Wow, you're low.  I don't know if we are brave enough for that low though.

  • During the day when we're not home, at this time of year (ie not prolonged single digit temps), either off, or at about 55.  At night, about 63 (though we do kick it up now and then to heat up - it's forced hot air so it's instant).  We don't have heat on our second floor, so it's usually pretty cold up there. We just bundle up.  oil's expensive!

  • 68 all the time.  Long Island, NY
  • I HATE being cold. That being said, I also HATE high heating bills. But I guess we're middle of the road. We keep it between 66-69 during the day and night. We're in Michigan.?
  • Our house is over 70 years old and drafty....we get an ungodly electric bill if we set it above 65, so 65 is where it stays.  Even still I cannot function without wearing a bulky fleece and fuzzy slippers around the house.  When it's really, really cold (rare here in Texas) we use a space heater in the living room.  I so wish we had a fireplace!
  • Wow! I guess we are temperature sensitive too. I'm in Florida. It's been in the 40's at night here and 70's during the day. During the day I don't use the heat since it warms up pretty quickly. At night I was keeping it at 71 but DH complained about freezing and not wanting to get out of bed in the morning (and he's from Vermont!). Also DD and DS's rooms get really cold. It has to have something to do with where our thermostat is. But, I keep it at 73 now at night.
  • 68 degrees and we're in KS.

  • We keep both floors on 68 since I am home all day. We turn the downstairs down to 66 at night.

When I was working, we would keep the house on 66 during the day.
