I don't know where to begin but I will make this as short as possible. I noticed that you have been diagnosed with a prolactinoma. Well, today I was diagnosed with one myself. I am 37 (38 in November) and have two, beautiful daughters. DD#1 just turned 8 and DD#2 turned 2 in April. I don't know how all of this began but I do know that AF started getting a littler irregular after DD#2's birth. I would still get AF but my cycles were just longer (32-35 days). I became pregnant last year in February and miscarried at 15wks. DH and I opted to not do any testing since it was the first miscarriage. Unfortunately, we miscarried again about 10 weeks ago. I was 11 wks along. My OB/GYN did the RPL testing all came back normal except my prolactin was elevated at 57. They redid this test and it came back even higher at 69. ?I also requested fetal tissue be tested this time and that came back normal. DH and I had the chromosome karotype done on both of us and that also came back normal. HSG done earlier this month..normal. I established myself with a PCP in my area and a blood test was done to recheck prolactin level, it came back at 62. I had an MRI w/contrast done last Thursday and my PCP called back and said I have a pituatary tumor measuring 5mm (about the size of a pencil eraser she says) so she is referring me on to a endrocrinologist. Everyone tells me these tumors are benign and that many women who have them have successfully had healthy pregnancies and babies. If you don't mind sharing, I would love to hear your story. I have no doubt in my mind that this played a huge factor in both of my miscarriages.?
Three beautiful girls!

DD#2 4-25-07
DD#3 10-19-10

Gah. I'm sorry to hear about the miscarriages. That is just heartbreaking - I'm so sorry.
When we decided to TTC I went off BCP - I had been on it for like 12 years or something. I never got a period. When it was finally diagnosed I was put on bromocriptine and got a period the next month. I started charting so I knew I was ovulating but had a short luteal phase. SA was good, HSG was clear so I went on Clomid and got lucky the first month. As soon as I got my BFP I went off bromocriptine and am still off of it.
I don't know what my prolactin levels were with pregnancy. Apparently these tumors can involute during pregnancy. I know that I'm having supply problems now so riddle me that one?! We won't check my prl until I'm done Bfing and things settle back to normal.
I know there are girls on TTC12+ and TTTC who also have prolactinomas and have managed to get and stay pregnant. You might want to check around on those boards or the SAIF board to see if anyone has stories similar to yours.
