I have to start taking this for low platelet count.  Just curious if there are any side effects.

I was on it 3 years ago for non-pregnancy related issues. It just made me really swollen. GL!

I hate this stuff.  I think it is prednisone and it is a steroid.  You should look it up on www.webmd.com  GL!!!!

Prednisone.... its a steroid. I was on it years ago when I had chemo treatments... it made me puffy.

Oh great, just what I need right now is to be more swollen.  Ughhhh.  Should I take it or just deal with the possibility of not being able to have an epidural?

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with talking to your doctor. I also took it while on chemo and like a billion other drugs so who knows...

And can I also say that it seriously makes me giggle that it was referred to as pregnazone. I mean, of all the ways to mispronounce it, this is by far my favorite.

I was on it 4 years ago and it's the devil!! The side effects are the worst!

I've been on it several times throughout my life. It can make you extremely hungry and swell up. The longer you take, the worse the swelling. I took it for 2 years when I had leukemia as a kid and I swelled up like a balloon. The times I've taken it for just a couple weeks mainly just my cheeks got a little puffy.
