This is my second cycle on clomid. Last cycle I Od on cd 14. I know that it can change from cycle to cycle so here is my question. If I don't get a pos on my cbefm tomorrow, cd17, I need to decide what to do. Dh and I are scheduled to be out of town separately all weekend starting with him leaving Friday morning. I am already dreading having to make the decision on if we should stay home or not. Ugh!! I hate to waste a cycle especially one where I have had a bunch of side effects. WWYD? And then add these factors to the equation (which are more selfish) and tell me what you would do ... Friday I find out if I am getting laid off or not...and Sunday is my 31st birthday. Thanks!!!

So your saying that you haven't had a + opk yet? I would just keep having sex until he leaves. Any fertility drug can throw your cycles off but then you can't stop living life because of it.  Well happy early birthday & I don't know about your job, it sounds like that is out of your hands. GL.

I don't know what to tell you. I would not be able to make a decision with all those factors. I like getting away after stress (getting laid off or not) and I would want to be with DH for my birthday. You can always BD on Friday before you guys head out. When would you be back together?

Honestly, dh and I have canceled or changed many things because of IF. We even canceled our anniversary vacation this summer so that I would be around for my CD2 appointment. I'm still not pg. Part of me regrets changing and canceling our plans. On the other hand, I know we would do the same thing again if we needed to. Having a baby is just our #1 priority right now. It sounds like you will probably O sometime before your dh leaves. You could just bd Friday morning and then again as soon as he comes home. 

Apart from IF, I'm pretty particular about my birthday and don't think I would want my dh to leave on that day. Happy birthday!!!

I am using the clear blue easy fertility monitor..so i have been having "high fertility" days for 5 days now, but it hasn't registered the peak yet (which is when the surge happens).

We would be getting back late afternoon/early evening on Sunday

I would continue to BD until Friday.  Clomid can mess with with getting a positive OPK and your ovulation, so keep at it!  Good luck with your job and hope you have a great birthday.

I think you should still go out of town, but BD on Friday morning and Sunday right when you get back.  You will really only miss one day of BD that way.  Just my $.02.
