Getting the nursery ready

Slowly but surely, since it's just me at the house during the day, there's not much I can do. We still have to empty out the room. So I'm packed MIL's linens into boxes (the lightest thing I could pick up). Now I'm left with planning on my designs for the walls on Photoshop. ARGH I miss when I was able to lift stuff and have a room cleared out on my own. I feel so lazy.

We just moved into our house less than 2 mos. ago and the spare room became the dumping ground for anything without a home. I'm in the same boat since DH is at work all day and there is very little I am able to do in terms of getting the room cleared out.

I offered to put a couple pine bookshelves together and empty boxes of books to get a start...but DH is super worried about me lifting much of anything. It's definitely frustrating.

I feel your pain!!  We are moving our guest room to our office, and making the old guest room the nursery... which means we are basically moving 2 complete rooms.  I feel so helpless since I can't move anything on my own!!

I know what you mean! We are moving my DD into our spare bedroom, re-doing the nursery, and moving the spare into our office.   I am on light duty right now because they are watching my low lying placenta. Since I cant do any heavy lifting everything is just sitting around waiting to be done. DH and I have been so busy with other things that we have not been able to do anything yet. Good thing we still have some time! However, I still feel like I'm way behind!  Good Luck!

We are doing this too. Unfortunately we had to make room in the office so we are also re-doing the basement. The whole domino effect is frustrating since my DH doesn't want me to do any of the painting in the basement because he is afraid of the fumes.

I actually cleaned out the entire closet in the nursery yesterday (it was full of all kinds of misc. junk.) ?Thankfully, everything in it was light and easy to get to- it was just A LOT of stuff!! ?I felt SO AWESOME being able to do that, and every once in a while, I open the door to check out what I did. ?I am so proud!

But after this, there isn't much left that I can do, so now I am sitting here sort of bored. ?I feel like I should be doing more in that room but everything left is heavy. ?:(?
