My Preemie is going to Kindergarten

My son is starting Kindergarten tomorrow.  I can hardly believe it.   We are all beyond excited here and hoping that his first day goes well.

I also wanted to use this opportunity to send out encouragement to all of your ladies who are wondering if your preemie will ever do the "normal" stuff of life.

Dominic was born at 31 weeks but weighed in at only 1 lb. 15 ozs.  And now he's going to Kindergarten.   It wasn't without struggle along the way but he got there

Wow! Even though my kids are about 1/3 of the way there, kindergarten is just incomprehensible to me. My husband can really get me crying if he talks about them walking into class wearing their little bitty backpacks. In my mind, I've worked it up to be this huge milestone, like a graduation of sorts from preemiedom.

 I hope Dominic has a really good day today! I can't wait to hear how much fun he has!
