back from RE consult

so we had our RE consult today to follow up on all our testing and treatment options. Good news- RE says i "passed the test". There is some damage to my left tube and my cervix is tighter then average, but the RE did not think that there was any female factor contributing to our inability to become pg.

in bad news- my DH had 3 SAs - all of which had problems, and the last one had numbers that were just over the borderline into considering him infertile. RE ordered some more bloodwork for him and an ultrasound. depending on how this comes back, they could put him on hormones, Clomid or surgery.

But our RE wants us to seriously consider IVF. Yup, that's it. Do not pass go, do not collect $1000, no IUI, nothing... go straight to IVF. The nurse said that we had excellent chances with IVF. I'm trying to be positive and enthusiastic while i wait for the rest of the results and as we make our decisions for treatment.

Don't be afraid to take time and digest it.  Also, don't be afraid to tell the doctor if you guys would rather see how the hormones/Clomid/surgery goes before embarking on IVF.  That being said, if you decide that you're ready and it's right for you, don't feel like  you're obligated to go through different protocols in order of aggressiveness before you go there.  GL!
