Belly button pop...slightly scared!

I recieved an email from the Bump with the good news about being 22 weeks pregnant, the line that got me nervous was There's not much room for your belly button, either -- it'll pop out any day now.  Eeeek!! I didn't think the belly pop was going to happen until the last tri! Has anyones belly button popped already?

What happens, does it creep out slowly or do you just wake up one morning with a protruding belly button?!

I know out of everything this isn't really something i should be worried about, but well it's just weird and my belly button has always been quite cute and now it's going to stick out and be all strange!!

I don't know, but mine is looking closer and closer to popping every day. From what I've heard, it can happen later in the second tri, the third tri, and it never happens to some women at all!

mine was a slow process. it's not fully popped out yet but it's getting there.

Lol I love this!  My girlfriend and I were talking about this just yesterday.  She was asking me if mine had popped yet and I said no, but it is getting shallower every day and then we got to wondering that very same thing...is it like a gradual thing or will I just be sitting at my desk one day and hear this little *POP* sound and look down and my bellybutton will be all popped out like the red timer on a turkey!

Ha, this is funny!  Actually, I've always had an outie, but now it's getting wider and it hurts to touch it.  This is my first pregnancy, but I'll say it's a slow process.  Just try to relax.

Mine never did pop with my first daughter.  It is very deep.  So it will depend on your own belly button.

I don't really remember when mine popped with my first pregnancy. I had quite a deep innie, so I think it was later than 22 weeks. But this time! My belly button had already started to pop by week 17! I couldn't believe it.

mine has started slowly but surely creeping to the surface. When I slowly change position from lying down to sitting or vice-versa, it pops out! It's creepy!!

Lol, thanks all...it's nice to know that i am not the only one a little concerned about the expolding belly button. I kind of hope that it will "pop" in the middle of the night so i just wake up with the new turkey done button!

I used to have a really deep belly button, my DH used to accuse me of disturbing the airport radar with all the bats that would fly out of it! Now it's really shallow and getting wide....eeek!!

Ok so I guess I will be the only one so far to answer YES to this question. ?I have only gained 7lb so far and still only look about 4 months along, so she must have needed more room because mine is out. My sisters think its funny and cute, DH is freaked out by it, and my co-workers laugh because you can see the little hump through some of my shirts. Its weird but I don't really notice.?

Don't know if this makes a difference but I did have it pierced for a while before my body rejected the metal and pushed the piercing out on its own. ?

Well, mine hasn't popped completely yet.  It has been slowly creeping outward, though.  It is about level with the rest of my stomach now.  I can't imagine it will be too much longer before it is sticking out, though!  It is very interesting because it's really soft & looks SOOOOO different!
