So Sunday night we went to a dinner party to celebrate a one year marriage anniversary and the couple told the group the story of their engagement.  It is a sweet story.  Henry gave Ben a silver ring from Tiffany for Christmas but said that he would need it back at some point to get it engraved.

Months later, he asked for it back and had it engraved with 'will you marry me'.  They were riding on a bus (for greenclown - the Silver Line) and Henry said he had picked the ring up and gave the box to Ben.  Unsuspectingly, Ben opened it, saw the engraving, and started bawling. On the bus.  

*So they tell this story, and it was a few nights after gf gave me my silver ring.  I look at her with a bratty expecting expression and her response . . . "they are way too freaking narrow don't even look at me."  Very cute, but no worries.  I suspect that if it comes to pass I will be the one doing the proposing.
