Ok, so i have to fill out this profile for work that will be put on our website...
One of the questions is what is my favorite book. I am WAY overanalyzing this! I read A LOT, but it is mostly mindless/entertainment stuff and I know everyone in my department is going to put typical intellectual authors/bpooks as their choices (liars). i know I have read a lot of good books that I could totally list as my favorite...But now that I have been put on the spot, I can't think of many that I have read recently!
I care too much about what people think.
i am hoping your answeres will jog my memory AND give me a new list of Must read books!
Re: NPR: favorite Book?
Anne of Green Gables. Has been since I was a little kid.
That's like asking me which one is my favorite kid.
The Voyager series by Diana Gabaldon has been my most recent obsession-- the new one comes out 9/22
Patricia Cornwell (Kay Scarpetta series)
James Patterson (Alex Cross books)
DS - December 2006
DD - December 2008
Since it's a work thing, I'd pick a classic book, or a kid's book. I wouldn't want chick lit or anything controversial on a public web site. I wouldn't pick the Bible either, which a lot of people do.
My favorite books are the Chronicles of Narnia.
My two all time favorites are East of Eden and Les Miserables
Other ones I adore: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, the Harry Potter series (of course), The Poisonwood Bible, Revolutionary Road, Little Children, and A Prayer for Owen Meany
