I generally go by myself. Occasionally on the weekends, he'll come with me so I have company on the ride. He never comes in for the b/w or u/s with me.
I have seen some ladies bring their husbands and bring them in to the monitoring appointments.

I'm very lucky that my b/w and u/s are done in a satelitte office on my way to work. They open at 7:00 I am able to do almost all my monitoring before school and not have it interfere with my job. I just go on my way to work by myself.
The IVFs are done in Boston, but otherwise it is all right there for me.

So far, DH has only come with me for bringing in samples and for consultation appts when we acutally speak to the RE. For IUIs, b/w, u/s, etc I usually just go on my own.

He doesn't come if it's a weekday, there is nothing wrong, and he has work, but he does come on weekends and any morning that there is a particular concern.
Does YH come with you to b/w and u/s? Does he go in with you or just go with you to the appointment?
i go by myself weekday mornings.
on the weekends he will go with me to the clinic. he's only been in the room for the u/s once and he was slightly traumatized by the experience (AF with with me at the time so it was especially traumatizing for him - that won't be happening again).
the b/w room is really small so he just waits for me in the waiting room.

No, it is not necessary for him to come to either as I spend more time waiting that the actual appt itself. He may come with me for the b/w if it is on a weekend.

Does YH come with you to b/w and u/s? B/W no, U/S yes if he's not working
Does he go in with you or just go with you to the appointment? He goes in with me.
Generally MH will not go to B/W appointments with me. If AF shows up when she is supposed to this month he will go with me to get my CD 3 BW done only because he has to get his done as well.
After 4 years, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs our surprise miracle is here! My Blog
He very rarely goes. He only goes in special situations..like today, when I didn't want to drive on icy roads.
If he goes, he usually goes back when I go back for my blood draw and then goes with me to the u/s room (that's at my local clinic, if I'm at the main clinic I usually go back for b/w alone and then grab him on my way by to the u/s room.
We got an argument one day where I told him I'm doing this all on my own, he doesn't understand, blah blah blah, simply just me being crazy and stressed one day.
So, if he happens to be off or if an appointment is on the weekend he makes it a point to come with me. Even yesterday when it was just a monitoring and a trigger shot and he comes in the room with me. Usually there's a wait, so we sit in there and play games together on one of our iPods. If my appointments are right before work or in the middle of the day where I'm using my lunch (I never go at the end of the day) then I just go by myself. I don't make him come, he just says he's doing it to show me I'm not in this alone.
I usually go by myself b/c they have us go in so early and my DH doesn't have to be to work until 9am, so I let him sleep in;) But if it's on a weekend, he'll usually go with me.

Thanks for the responses ladies. It's not that I want him to come in with me. Actually I prefer that he doesn't. I was just wondering as I see a lot of spouses who go with the ladies to their monitoring appointment.

Does YH come with you to b/w and u/s? Does he go in with you or just go with you to the appointment?
usually no, my current RE does monitoring through out the day and D's job is not flexible at all so we save he coming with me times for ER, ET and u/s (when I've been KU).

It's been a long journey. TTC since 9/06. multiple IUI's and IVF's and 4 m/c's. IVF#3 = BFP, twins, induced at 34w6d due to baby b passing away (no explanation). Delivered on 35w1d, Baby A - baby girl, and Baby B - baby boy, our little angel.
MTHFR A1298C & C677T, Immune Issues and Factor II
He only comes with me if it's on the weekend & if it's a follie check. If it's a CD3 check & on the weekend, he doesn't go. The building that the RE does appts/monitering/IUIs ( basically everything but IVF) in is literally right next to where I work & DH takes the train into town, so it wouldn't make sense for him to come.

DH goes to every appointment with me. I'm not sure why....but he insists. He has about 300 hours of "kin care"...so he has the time off. I don't mind -- he drives and always takes me out for lunch or dinner afterwards!

DH came to my first appointment with the RE, but didn't come back for my b/w & u/s (just the paperwork & talking parts). He does not come with me for my monitoring appointments, the only ones he's come for are my u/s when we were pregnant.

DH just came to my first appointment with the RE. The only other appointments he's been to are 1. his SA and 2. our 1st IUI. I had him come in for the IUI. For b/w and u/s, I always go by myself since I'm in and out within 15 mins most of the time.

IUI #1=BFN 100 mg of clomid= no response so doc prescribed 150 mg of Clomid. Resulted in 1 follie at 22. Trigger on 12/23 IUI on 12/24 (count 14 million post-wash motility grading 3-4).

IUI #2 5.0 MG Femara plus 75 iu of Gonal-F no growth so up to 112.5 iu for Gonal-F and then 150 iu. Resuled in 1 mature follie at 19. I go by myself every time. I'm in and out so fast I am fine with him not being there, although I know he would come with me if I asked him to. Also, his work schedule is much more intense and less flexible than mine, so it would be really challenging for him to be at mid-week appointments.

Never for the bloodwork, I could basically walk to the RE. So i def don't need any company for a less than 1 mile ride.
He did come for a couple of the u/s to see how i was doing...I think he can skip these for IVF 2, bc the "newness fears" are gone.
He did come to all of my preg u/s.
