Pregnant after a Loss

high hcg but no pg symptoms - sort of freaking out

hi girls,

i'm relatively new here.  i have had 2 m/cs in the past but then a healthy DS last year.  am pg now (yahoo!), hcg earlier this week at 4wks 4days was 3350 and progesterone 21.91.  i'm on crinone 8% & baby aspirin.  my first m/c was a blightened ovum and i was really tired but no other pg symptoms - exactly what i'm feeling now.

so my question is - when did your boobs hurt/ get the veins - and other pg symptoms start.  my u/s is not for 2 weeks.  i may go crazy waiting.

tia, so much.

  • Hi there! Congrats on your pregnancy!

I wish I could tell you there was a certain timeline for if/when you will start to feel symptoms. Some people here haven't really had any symptoms at all and are doing just fine. Others have all of the symptoms in the book. Just depends person to person.  Believe me I'm with you on the stressing out and worrying.  My first u/s is on the 28th of this month. When is yours?

  • It is completely normal not to have pg symptoms this early. Some women do not have many symptoms for the whole pregnancy! Your betas are really high and progesterone looks good. It is so hard in the beginning, but just try to focus on the mantras - namely, today you are pregnant and you love your baby! And, try and keep as busy as possible with other things these next two weeks so you don't go nuts. GL and welcome to the board!

  • I totally understand. I had 2 bo's in the past year and I am now 8 weeks with a nice strong heartbeat seen 2 times on US already. I had no symptoms at all until one week ago my bb's started to be sore at the nipples. That is now gone for a few days so that is why I requested another US thinking I was mc'ing again and all was fine. GL and enjoy not being sick!
  • girls,

i feel better - already.  thank you, thank you.

my u/s is also on 8/28!!!  9am.  wishing us both - and everyone here, all strong heartbeats and healthy babes.

Sounds like a plan! Let us know how it goes for you! Mine isn't until 2:30 in the afternoon. it's gonna be a loooong day! GL!

  • Hang in there! I had NO nausea/MS until 9 weeks and it is still going strong today! It'll come and then you'll be begging for it to leave!

I know how stressful it is. Try to relax and focus on all the positives of being pregnant. My RE always says the chances of making it full term and having a healthy baby are high greater than something going wrong.

  • 2:30!!!!  yikes - that is torture.  seriously.  GL to you too!!!!!  here's to hoping the next 2 weeks fly by!
  • My u/s is Aug 28 at 10am!  And I really don't feel many symptoms yet.  Just very tired sometimes, some cramping...  Occasional nausea, but nothing major...
  • I didn't have ANY pg symtoms with my first DD and we had a great healthy pregnancy!  (well until the end when I got heartburn constantly and swollen feet)... maybe you won't get any!!!  Won't that be nice!?  Stay positive I am sure everything is fine....

  • I know its easier said than done, but try not to worry.  I am carrying triplets and I've never experienced the sore boobs, morning sickness and other things that others feel. It made me worry alot too, but everything is going well.
