Frenectomy???

Does anyone know anything about this procedure? The mobile dentist was at daycare yesterday, and they recommended this for Brooke. I always noticed the gap between her front teeth but not that it was caused by that tisue, which is really low.

We commonly do this procedure at work(I'm a dental assistant) for our orthodontic patients.  Its a common procedure where they remove tissue from the mid inner upper lip and then also from between the two front teeth.  By doing this it gives the teeth room to grow together.
