Today is my (old) due date although they revised it to August 7 a few weeks ago. Anyway, 40 weeks or pretty close to it!
My 40 week appointment yesterday went well. We scheduled an induction for August 14th but my dr is convinced the little lady comes on her own before that. I am just happy that an end is in sight. Baby girl has grown quite a bit in the last two weeks and is now 50th percentile although I lost a couple of pounds. Weird. My dr said that all 12 pounds I gained in this pregnancy went right to baby and is not worried anymore. Yeah! I have one more non-stress test scheduled for next Tuesday if I need it. I feel much better now that I know I will be a mom in the next 9 days.
Re: Happy Due Date to me
Hooray and congrats!
And I can relate to all the weight being gained going straight to baby. I gained a total of 15 lbs, but then lost about 4 by the time of my last appointment. We had an u/s at that same appointment to check my fluid levels and the tech said it was weird checking me out because was nothing but baby. Nobody ever said anything about my weight because the baby always measured so well.
The good news about that is I'm back to being pretty small. The bad news is that my belly is super jiggly. Not that I'm complaining
Anyhoo, good luck these last few days and sleep lots!!!

Oh, and speaking of jiggly bellies, I just remembered a friend of mine who really liked to jog who went out for a run a week or so after having her little girl, and she said it felt reaaaaalllllly weird. Like she could feel her organs moving around. Ick.
I'm sure you've already planned your post-baby runs, but maybe some Spanx or something else to, um, hold everything in might be helpful.

I hope your baby girl comes on her own before next week, Kathi!
My EDD is tomorrow and I'll be scheduled for induction the same day or day before (I think, waiting on a call back from my OB's office). I also feel better knowing there's an end in sight.
Hang in there!!!

I've heard good things about the bamboo belly bandit, it might help support your innards until they get back where they belong.
I'm glad the end is in sight! Hopefully you won't need an induction...
Sending good thoughts your way!!
I'm still amazed that you ran through your entire pregnancy. I just read the runner's world - running and pregnancy book - and it had a few good tips, nothing earth shattering. I have continued my running, but it's hard when I feel so queasy. And I can't wait to be able to tell my running partners because I have slowed down a bit already. I'm sure I will only get slower...
Sunsh1ne, the Runner's World book is okay. I really liked the book Exercising through your Pregnancy by Dr. Clapp - it is based on research and has some really good information to counter people's 'advice' on running and pregnancy.
Going for another 6-mile run right now. One of these days it will start things with the little girl...:-)
