Re: GD?

  • yes!  this is one of my staple foods lol.  just make sure you look for a bread that is low in sugar and lower in carbs.  i try to find wheat bread that has 19-20 carbs for 2 slices.  natures own makes a "light" bread that has 19 carbs for 2 slices and i think it has like 4 grams of sugar.  and just use sugar free jelly.  my pb didn't have too much sugar in it so i didn't switch that from what i normally bought. but you could look for a lower sugar pb if you want.

  • Simply Jif natural peanut butter has a lot of protein and very little carbs. Also, make sure you use sugar free jelly or jam or preserves and you will be just fine! I eat them all the time!
  • Thank you! Thank you! Very happy now!

  • Absolutely!  That's my staple lunch that I take with me in the car.  I just use regular Jif (only has 7g carbs), sugar free smuckers (which also has about 7 carbs I think), and I found a bread at my grocery store that is 35 calories a slice and for two slices it's 17g carbs.  I just make sure and pair it with some slices of cheese, and I'm usually fine!  I'd die without my PBJ's!

  • wahoo for pb and j - - definitely finding the low carb bread and pB helps. I alternate between sugar free jelly and homemade jam - which is sooo not sugar free, but as long as I don't use much my numbers have been just fine!
