I am 3rd generation U of I on my dad's side and 4th generation on my mom's.  I am 3rd generation U of I Law. :)  We stocked up BIG TIME on Chief stuff for the same reason.  We also have the basketball game with the last dance saved on our DVR.  Lila LOVES to watch it and she does Chief arms.

    I'm not, but DH is - and also 3rd generation. His whole family went there (he is from and they still live in Champaign). To give you an idea of his dedication, our wedding colors were orange and blue, as is DS's nursery.

    DH tried to convonce me that the Chief did a "traditional Native American dance" and the first time I saw him at Assembly Hall I was like, uhhh...I don't think the Native American actually danced like that, doing splits in midair and such... :)

    It's "fancy dancing" and anyone can do it. :)  Technically it's a type of traditional dance...

    Tell your H I am from Clinton, it's a VERY small town about 40 min west of Champaign.

     Our rehearsal dinner was orange and blue and I had a Fighting Illini garter under my dress!  I love hearing about other rabid fans!

    I play along, but DH doesn't know that DS will actually be going to MY alma mater. Or Harvard, whichever he picks :p
