Will a safari theme work for a girl?

Now that I know I am having a girl, all I can think about is how cute the safari room would have been had it been a boy. I am not a frilly girly girl, so I am having a hard time deciding what kind of nursery to do for my LO.

Does anyone have any ideas or thoughts on a safari theme that would work for a girl?

land of nod (landofnod.com) has one that i was going to use if i had a girl. it's really cute and has some pink in there.

We were going to do that theme with our little girl, but couldn't find bedding that we like and was "girlie". Until, the maker CoCaLo got one but isn't coming out with it until September (we're due first week)...it's totally adorable!!!!

Thanks for all the input. I found a lot of really great ideas by looking through all the links and posts. I have a lot of work to do, but hopefully when it is done, I will be able to post some pictures!!

I wanted to do a safari theme regardless of sex, and am doing just that for my little girl. I went pretty whimsical though, polka dots, cartoony animals, etc. Some people hate it, but I figured at least it's a few more ideas for you. Smile

This bedding may be too girly girl for you, but the cocalo ellie bedding I got is cute - has sage/pink stripes and the sheets, blankets etc have elephants on them. BRU carries it. The 'emory' line is the boy version, and is sage colored - i actually mixed and matched the 2.
