Hi Ladies!! So I went to the dr today and of course my BP wasn't better, so doc is going to start induction Wednesday morning with cytotec. I googled it and it looks like there is mixed reviews on it. Please share any and all info that you may have, your experience's etc. Thank you so much!!

I was terrified of cytotec after googling it when my doctor said she was going to use it for my induction two weeks ago. After talking with her further I decided to go ahead and let her give it to me and I had a good experience. There are a lot of negative things about it online, so I'm not really sure what to believe.
I went in at midnight and they gave me a low dose pill vaginally. They continued give me doses every 4 hours. I dilated to 2cm but was having contractions and then my doctor broke my water. The contractions got a lot stronger after that and they gave me pitocin a few hours later. By 10:30 I was fully dilated. I was in labor for about 10 hours and pushed for an hour or so.
Like I said, for me it was a good experience and my doctor was reassuring after I came into her office terrified after researching online. All I can say is you should do what you feel comfortable with doing. I felt comfortable using it after discussing it with my doctor. Good luck!
It is really dangerous to use it for induction. There are unacceptably high risks for you and the baby. Docs like it bc it induces you quickly, but I would really fight that.
Using for induction is off-label and the company has come out expressively in opposition to that. Typically companies love off-labvel use bc it means more $$ for them without additional FDA trials. It tells you soemthing that they are opposed.
Now, for PP hemorage it is a great drug. So it isn't all bad.
