Alternative to Ultimate Crib Sheet?

I love the product, but mine have not held up well.  One of them has lots of small cracks  on the waterproof side, which render it useless.  The other has 1 or 2 small cracks, so I suspect I'll need to replace it soon.

Are there any other brands that you guys are using that have fared better?  I'll replace these things every 6 months if I have to because changing the sheets is such a PITA in LO's crib, especially since we lowered the mattress.

Re: Alternative to Ultimate Crib Sheet?

  • It's not quite the same thing, but works better for us since DD moves around a ton in her crib - we just bought a couple extra waterproof mattress pads (just the top part, they don't fit like a fitted sheet) and make a pad/sheet sandwich! : ) Bottom to top - regular mattress pad, fitted sheet, mattress pad, sheet, mattress pad, sheet. Then they're relatively easy to pull off a set if necessary and the next one is ready to go.

  • I buy the XL waterproof pads from BRU instead.  They don't attach to the crib bars, but if you lay it across the mattress and tuck it down over the mattress sides, the baby can't pull it up.  I don't like the ultimate sheet because it's too hard for me to reach the rear crib rails, which are in the back corner of the bedroom.  I would have to move the crib away from the wall to attach/detach.  They've held up very well through 7 months of washing/bleaching.  Totally waterproof, but soft.
