Forgive me if any of these answers seems obvious. I never make-ahead food. Anything (except venison) that goes to our freezer is usually used within the week. So...
1. When did you start making & freezing food for those first few weeks after birth?
2. How long can you freeze made-ahead food? Probably a stupid question, but I have NO idea how long freezed food is actually good for since I never keep it in my freezer for long.
3. What were your favorite make-ahead foods when you finally got to eat them? What were your not-so-favorites?
4. Any recipe recommendations? Websites you looked into?
Re: Make-Ahead/Freeze Dinners
I planned to do it the week before I was due thinking I would be late, and I went 9 days early, so I never did. Start soon!
I really was OK without having frozen meals because DH was home for 3 weeks. I would say just to have easy quick food at hand, like snacks and sandwich meat to be able to throw it together. We found ourselves eating at 11 or 12 at night because your days/nights all run together.
I would freeze things that could be eaten for lunch or dinner, and with 1 hand!! Good luck.
i used dream dinners
LOVE them. also love entree vous. yum!
