I think that canned beans have added sodium, I could be wrong though. I typically always use canned beans, I'm too lazy to soak and cook dry beans.

Like say a recipe calls for dry navy beans(so I would have to soak and boil) could I use canned navy beans so I wouldnt have to do the soaking part. Do they come out the same?

hmmmmm... I dont know... I dont think that there should be a problem... bt I am not a cooking expert by any means... I would ask the cooking board..
