WOW pumping in the AM really does work!!

I hadn't really pumped in the AM after DS morning feed but I did yesterday and today and got 4oz from one boob! My Goal was to get 4oz/day but at this rate I may be able to get 8oz/day for my stash!!

I'm jealous!!  I've only been able to get 2oz max from any given pumping session.  I'm trying to work on my stash too.  Guess I just have to hang in there.

NJ2NC it took me a while to be able to pump more than a total of 2 ounces as well.  my left breast would never output more than 1/2 ounce at a time.  now is a different story for sure.  so def hang in!

yes, hang in there my supply only JUST started to be this much this week! I got serious about pumping consistently last week. I think that and consistent feedings helped up my supply!

AM pumping is what saved me when I went back to work, my pumping sessions at work together did not produce as much as my one morning session. For what it's worth though, I pumped before my daughter's morning feeding. I'd get up early, pump, shower and then feed her when she was up. From what I've researched and in my experience she was always able to extract enough even after I pumped two bottles full. Baby will always be better than the pump.

I just started AM pumping this week and can get about 3 oz from one boob. It's great!  I save the other for LO.

I did this for 3 months of my Maternity Leave and STILL have a deep freezer full of milk! He's 10 months old! Get into a routine and you will get a nice stash. It was so nice having that stash b/c when I would pump at work I wouldn't get enough. I always pulled 1 bag from the freezer. Now that he isn't nursing as often, I still have the freezer stash so I don't have to pump anymore! Woohoo!

I am an EPer right now due to baby in NICU, but my AM pumpings are crazy in terms of how much at other times.  Most of the time I get 4-7 oz, but in the morning, because I sleep about 6 hours I will get about 10-13 oz.

I pump every morning after feeding and am up to 14 oz per pumping session.  DS only eats once a night generally so it's been a long time since the last feed.  My boobs are enormous and kind of hurt in the morning but I've been able to build up quite a freezer stash.
