Pregnant after a Loss

Anyone else in 1st Tri still...

POAS? What is wrong with me? I am STILL POAS!!! I mean, seriously... I act like I'm addicted or something. I'm sure I'll stop after my first appt, but for now it feels like that's all I have to go on. I can't believe I still have a week and a half to go before my appt. Sad

  • I'm not in 1st tri, but I did POAS three times after my initial BFP - I think I last did it at 22 or 23dpo, you can see in my chart.  Then I got comfortable.  The funny thing is, I still have all those tests in a plastic baggie.  I was going to throw them away when I came across them a couple weeks ago, but my DH wouldn't let me.  I never thought he would be sentimental about pee on a strip of paper ...
  • I haven't POAS since I got my BFP, but I did take ?blood and urine pg tests yesterday at the Drs and it made me feel better so I totally understand where you're coming from. ?It's like reassurance.?
  • I have been tempted but now I am just really scared not to see the line. I am just listening to my body and the symptoms as positive reinforcement. Although today I am feeling really good (no m/s) so I am getting nervous. But I am sure that it comes and goes.

  • I'm here with you in 1st Tri!  This time around, it actually feels like it's going rather quickly.  Last time (my 2nd m/c) seemed to drag time!
  • I will admit to that Embarrassed my loss was a cp so when I took a test 2 days after my first the line was a lot lighter, this time I have about 20 internet cheapies that expire the end of the year so I figure I might as well use them! it give me peace of mind to see the nice dark line right away :)

It's so nice to see you over here Garcia! Glad things are going well.

  • Glad to know I'm not alone! I also think I keep POAS because I haven't experienced any symptoms yet other than headaches and feeling ridiculously tired all the time. Oh well, guess I'll just keep counting down until my 1st appt.

  • I think it is completely normal.  That is to say, I did it to.  I have Pee sticks from 10 DPO, 13 DPO, 15 DPO, 17 DPO, 19 DPO, and 21 DPO.  After that I stopped.  But you are fine.  I just loved seeing the line get darker and darker.  (I had one extra left, and a few weeks ago, I think I was 16 weeks, I took it again, and it was still positive)

  • YES!!  I've been POAS every few days. Embarrassed  They aren't getting darker anymore, I think they're as dark as they can get, lol!!  I need to stop...but I feel the same as you that it's all I have to go on until my appointment and u/s next week. :-(  It is comforting to see those two lines.  In my defense (if I can claim any defense at all for this!) I have a bunch of internet cheapie tests, so I'm not wasting several dollars every time I POAS.  Just 80 cents, lol!
