2nd Trimester

Fioricet is my miracle

I've always suffered from bad headaches (but never diagnosed as migraines) and I could usually get them under control with lots of Excedrin.  Tylenol hasn't even been touching them and I've had to go home from work or call out several times.  This last one started yesterday at 10am and didn't let up until just now - when I got to take my first dose of Fioricet.

I didn't want to take medicine I didn't have to but I honestly couldn't function. Anyone else in the same position?

  • Ugh, I'm glad you found something that worked and that you're not going to suffer anymore for days at a time!

  • I was given fioricet (1/2 tylenol, 1/2 somethign else) for my headaches *pre-pg*.  worked somewhat. ended up going with other options that were much better suited for me.   so far with pg, headaches haven't been a big deal for me.  which is good, b/c tylenol stinks as a pain reliever.  and i can't take the good pain relievers (nsaids)

  • I'm in the exact same boat as you!  The migranes were so bad I couldn't function but I was leary of the drug.  However, I've taken it when it gets really bad and it totally helps!  I've noticed that it makes me a little light-headed though, so be careful.  I'm at 14wks and I've been taking it since 8 wks.  Good luck!
