I am sure this question has been asked before, but how many cribs do I need for twins, one or two. DH thinks we only need 1 and I was leaning towards 2. What are the pros and cons and what did you do.
2. While they may sleep in the same one for a little while, eventually they'll need more room and to be separated, esp. since they're often sleeping in the crib until they're 2-3 years old.
We used the PNP when we first got home from the hospital for 8 weeks and then transitioned them to the nursery we were going to put them in the same crib but Kate is restless and was keeping Ben up so we put them in different cribs.
Two people, two cribs. They may be able to share 1 initially, but not forever.
This. There's no guarantee that sharing a crib will work. It lasted all of 2 months or less for us. We had to seperate them because they kept waking each other up.
Ours are still in our room in 2 mini co-sleepers but we have 2 cribs in thier room and I am glad. We stayed at my mom's this weekend and had them both in 1 crib and they kept wiggling over and waking each other up with kicks and punches.
We are planning on two cribs and the double PNP at BRU for the first few weeks or as long as it lasts. I toyed with not getting two cribs right away but I think it will be better to be prepared and have two cribs ready before they arrive! GL
you absolutely will need two, so you may as well take advantage of the multiples discount at BRU and get them both at once.
also, i wanted to tell you that i am reading a blog about some triplets in lake charles (she has two surviving triplets) and they've just been transferred to the NICU at lakeside, and they're not that thrilled about it. it made me think of you...have you decided where you're having them?

Can you explain the multiples discount at BRU. Is this just for cribs?

Multiple discounts apply to bigger ticket items there is a list on their website but it def. includes furniture. Bascially you buy 2 of the same item at the same time and you get 10% off each item.

We ask every time we buy 2 of anything. Sometimes you get lucky and the cashier doesn's really know the policy. We have gotten 10% off clothes, and even the changing table pad. It is always worth asking )

We bought 2 and one is still in the box but we will probably put it together soon. We put the boys in the PNP for the first 4 weeks in our bedroom, and then moved them into the nursery sharing a crib. Now they are getting almost too long to lay side by side in the crib, so we will separate them soon (sad). I bought our cribs from Walmart.com - site2store pickup and picked them up the following week. They aren't fancy, but they look good and will serve their purpose for the next couple years! (I think they are called Graco Lauren in Espresso)
we bought 2...so far they still sleep together in one...but when they mess up sheets in one we used the other until we get it washed up...i know they'll evetnaully separate b/c at least three times we've gone to check on them and Nia has been literally on top of Nala's back...luckily she is 2.5 lbs smaller

You will eventually need 2 no matter what.

We bought two, but only put one together. The other is under our bed waiting for when we need it. Right now, I need the space
