DS is mostly breastfed but gets one bottle of formula a day. He can go 3-4 days without pooping and when it comes out, it's thick, and very dark. DD poops every day, and it's that mustard-grainy yellow color and not thick.
Has anyone tried chamomile tea to help their LO go more often? Is this the same as chamomile water?

Re: chamomile tea for constipation?
I used the old Karo syrup method. For those of you who think it's as horrible as honey, try boiling it in the microwave [which happen in seconds] before mixing with formula or breast milk. I used 1 tsp. at the absolutely most and it worked like a charm.
Corn syrup helps to draw moisture into the poop from the intestines, that is how it works. Especially useful for LO with dry hard poop pellets.
chamomile soothes the tummy, among other things. ?But not going that long when fully bf is completely normal (10 days even). ?Could just be he's body and I wouldn't really mess with it.
I know you give formula once a day, I?still?don't think I would be concerned unless he seems to be in pain.?

Ditto and unless he is truly constipated - which doesn't correlate to frequency, but to hardness of poop - I wouldn't do anything. Some kids are just different.
My son still poops 4 times a day and is breastfed still and getting 3 meals a day. When he was even younger, I would do anything to bulk up his poop - still am! My niece is 9 months and breastfed with one meal a day and having severe constipation issues. She only goes every 3 days but when she does it is really hard (little pellets) and she cries the day before it happens. My sister is now feeding her prunes every day which seems to be helping.
