All of a sudden DS is coming down with cold like symptoms- but we haven't really been out much, and he hasn't been around little kids. Could he be getting ready to cut teeth?
FWIW, My Pedi explained to me that the snot is related to teething however. There are actually 'sick' germs in that snot. He said research has shown that the fevers and snot are often because of kids getting an illness usually related to them putting things in their mouths.

With his first tooth he had a runny nose. However, on the 2nd day of the runny nose, we found out he had an ear infection. So, I don't know if the runny nose was from the teething or not. The runny nose lasted quite a while though- it was still runny even after the antibiotics were finished.
He is just cutting the 2nd tooth now and he doesn't have a runny nose at all.
