nausea before labor?

I've done a bit of googling and see that this gets asked a lot, but I can't find any definitive answers. Is nausea before labor pretty common? Anyone have personal experience?

FWIW, I never had m/s or any significant nausea at any point in the pregnancy - just a few "off" days early in the first tri.

I didn't. My back just hurt really bad the 3 weeks prior to delivering...and obviously the pain was really bad the whole night before he was born when I was contracting. That was really my only "feeling" until the contractiosn themselves got very painful.

Since I was induced I can't answer from personal experience, but I believe an increase in the hormones released in preparation for labor can cause significant nausea in some patients. I did get very nauseous/tried to vomit multiple times at the very end of my labor, just prior to delivery - I think this is very common as well but is probably more related to all the pushing.

i was nauseous and threw up quite a bit during labor and during the c/s.

I didn't... but I didn't get too nauseous during labor either - never threw up.

My SIL (Coop's mama) was very nauseous when labor first began. She threw up a couple times Sad

3 of my friends all threw up when labor first began... hopefully it's a good sign for you.

I had nausea the entire day before my induction. It was in between the bouts of contractions I was having. We tried to go out to a final dinner just the 2 of us and I couldn't eat a thing. Maybe things will happen this weekend since you're planned for the induction on Monday? Either way, I hope it goes away for you soon.
