the name Dean? 

We already have our girl named picked (Evangeline) but haven't decided on a boy name yet.  Which may or may not matter I guess.  It is just kind of fun. 

I really like this name because it is a strong solid name and my DH does too. What kind of person do you think of when you hear this name?  Do you like it?

I would say that it is a good name, but it is nms.  It makes me think of James Dean.  GL!

I am from the south and I know about 15 Dean's that are rednecks. So that's what Dean reminds me of but if that isn't a problem for you then go for it! Evangeline is a BEAUTIFUL name, btw. It was in my top five favs.

LOL that is funny. I am in CA so I think of old hollywood like Dean Martin, James Dean etc. but that good to know.  So apparently in the South it is a redneck name.  I'll keep that in mind

I strongly dislike it. Dean sounds trashy to me. I've lived in So Cal my entire life and I don't associate that name with old hollywood. Dean reminds me of Jimmy Dean sausage.?

I think it's kind of "older" style but I like it. The only Dean I know around my age is a very attractive tough guy.

i agree. there are a lot of rednecks named this in OK so that's what i think of. evangeline is very pretty.
