What are your thoughts on Mia

do you think its trendy?? This has been our girls name forever, starting to have doubts now that we have an actual baby to name.

Edited to add - the other name we both like is Rose, do you prefer Rose to Mia??

i think when she starts school there will be another in her class. 2 mias, 2 isabellas, 2 madelines and 2 Sophias.

i do like the name but i feel like it's really trendy. if you love it go for it !

It's really trendy. I do think it's a pretty name, but not something I'd ever consider. It's too short (I like longer names) and I'm not into the whole Mia/Sophia/Isabella/Olivia/Ava trend. Rose is very pretty. I'd choose that over Mia.

Personally, I think it's over done, but I like some names that others would consider the same way, if you love it use it.

I love love love the name Mia, and as for choosing Mia over Rose, I wouldn't choose, I'd just have Rose as the middle name!!  Mia Rose--so pretty!!  (and actually one of my favorite girl name combos should I be blessed to get pregnant this time around!)   Good luck with your pregnancy and delivery, and whichever name you choose, both are sweet names for girls!

I have never really liked Mia. I don't understand the big fuss. But I do love Rose. I have a good friend Rosie and she loves her name.

I like the name Mia and only know 1 other Mia, so I personally do not feel it is overdone.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE mia.  It's my #1 choice.  I actually prefer Amelia just because it works better with our last name but love Mia!!!  As for trendy, it's funny because I've heard i a LOT on boards like this but never IRL and I have so many friends who just had daughters.  I think it depends where you live.  Also love Rose but if I was choosing, it would be Mia, or Mia Rose as the pp said.  Beautiful!

I don't like Mia.  I tend to like more popular names, but not this one.  I don't like Rose either...at least not for a first name, maybe as a middle name.

I think it's a little trendy, but I can't talk Our DD is named Madison and I have ADORED that name for years! So if you love it, use it!

I have loved Mia for years and both of our girls were *this* close to being Mia.

It's still at the top of our list, but I just don't think i'll be able to use it bc it has gotten so popular.
